Purpose:

To increase capacity utilization of SPDC-Joint venture natural gas supply facilities, SPDC decided to explore new outlets. The purpose of the Project is to study the feasibility of extending the existing NGC Oben-Ajaokuta 24” pipeline to Abuja so as to supply gas to a power plant proposed to be installed at Abuja, and other industrial gas consumers at FCT and Northern part of Nigeria.

Technical data:

Existing Oben-Ajaokuta pipeline 24” diameter, length 196 km; throughput up to 450 MMSCFD.
